Our aim is to encourage active Christian unity and to strongly follow the principle of only doing separately what we cannot achieve together.
The Christian Unity Group (CUG) is interdenominational, represented by several churches’ members: Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Salvation Army.
Each year we meet at a different church for Bible study, praise and prayer, especially seeking to support each other’s church initiatives.
In 1980 we began meeting annually during Lent - soon we were part of the Island-wide program organised through Sister Loretta.
Our logo shows a rope made up of many strands, entwined around the foot of the Cross. See Ecclesiastes Chapter 4 verse 12 which speaks of the strength which comes when two or more people work together.
Faith and action meet: the CUG has provided crèche/refreshment cover when one church held an important church rally.
The CUG has sent funds and people to provide a health centre in Nyalkinyi, Kenya. Many of us have maintained our support there.
We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month in St. Paul’s church from 7:30pm until 9pm. Each month our programme will be led by a different church leader. Click here for the 2017/18 programme.
Please join with us, united under Christ.
